UNCERTAIN GERMANIC TRIBES, Pseudo-Imperial coinage. Late 3rd-early 4th centuries. Aureus (Subargentum, 20 mm, 5.34 g, 3 h), 'Probus Group D'. Imitating Probus, 276-282. ƆVAƧUNI[...] OHPN Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Probus to left, seen from behind. Rev. ՒDACՒIO Victory driving fast biga to left, holding branch in her right hand and reins in her left. Cf. Aurum Barbarorum II, 1905-1906 (for similar reverses). Holed and with numerous breaks in plating, otherwise, fine.
